Open your eyes

Waking up here changes the way you look at things. Both for what you see and what you feel. Design, light, and landscape join hands to offer a different way of staying: more intimate, more inspiring, harder to forget. We open our doors to an environment filled with beauty, history, culture, and nature waiting to be discovered. We invite you to live intensely, to remember forever, to truly feel. Come, discover, enjoy, and look at life through different eyes: Los Ojos del Alai.

6 apartments

Six ways of being, six ways of living. Intimate, light-filled spaces designed to start the day calmly, look outward, and feel the place from within. Stone, light, wood, and landscape coexist with serene architecture—crafted down to the last detail—in a wonderful enclave to discover. All you have to do is open the door.

Set in a restored historical building, the six apartments of Los Ojos del Alai occupy a house with over four centuries of history. Beneath them, the family-run grill restaurant maintains the pulse of the home and, above all, shelters under its walls the oldest Bordeaux-style wine cellar in Rioja.

Surroundings Labastida

A town set between vineyards and pathways, made to be looked at up close and to take you further.

Nestled between the Toloño Mountain Range and the Ebro River, in the very heart of Rioja Alavesa, Labastida preserves its own unique point of view. Stone defines its streets, churches, palaces, and arches. Underground, the wine cellars (calados) guard the deepest chapter of a history bound to winemaking, which spreads around a town where ancient stone-carved winepresses can still be found.

A little further out, the gaze opens up to the paths, vineyards, and scenery surrounding Labastida. Without travelling far, the majestic Sierra Cantabria appears, alongside neighbouring villages with lives closely tied to wine, and a serene, open nature that allows you to easily reach the most beautiful spots in La Rioja, the Basque Country, or Navarre.
