The area around Labastida reveals the story of the land long before wine. Just a few kilometres away are Romanesque hermitages, walled towns, archaeological sites, dolmens, burial grounds and remains that bear witness to the ancient settlement of Rioja Alavesa and the lands near the Ebro.

This is a different way to explore the region: through its towns and wineries, but also through places that preserve a deeper memory, sometimes visible in an isolated church among the vineyards, sometimes in a stone raised thousands of years ago.
